So I know I’ve already done the whole pot roast thing but this is Staci’s call weekend and what she wants, she gets. Her answer is almost always pot roast. And I do love the recipe. So we made pot roast again today. And it was delicious as usual! I would love to say I did something a little different this time but why mess with perfection? I riced some peeled potatoes with a bit of butter and about 1/3c of cream. They don’t really need much because they get covered with the juice of the roast which is built up with a little broth, wine and then boiled back down to concentrate the flavors. And I had my silicone holders so NO BURNS!
I also got super organized today while Stace was out seeing folks. I cleaned every kitchen draw and pantry and cupboard and reorganized everything. All of this cooking and blogging and picture taking has had my kitchen in an uproar. I’m really glad I did because it appears we have some critters. A hole in egg noodles with a few old mice droppings. And a ziploc full of barley…and grain beetles. Awesome. Not anymore!
Then I worked out. I mistakenly thought I was ready to take my PiYo workout up a notch so I went from Sweat to Drenched. HA! I was soooooooooo not ready. But my body is humming and I love that feeling. My guess is I will be doing all things blogging from bed tomorrow. Maybe some IBs before bed tonight is in order. Or wine. Or both.
